WHAT IS COSTOS?
CostOS is a powerful tool for estimating your projects.
It allows for easy consistency and centralization of estimates and historical data. By using an external SQL database, CostOS is one of the few estimating programs capable of operating in a multi-user environment.
Combining traditional estimating methods with 3D BIM, 2D, and GIS, CostOS enables you to generate estimates faster, with less effort, greater accuracy, reduced risk, and increased confidence.
From feasibility studies or cost plans to a final detailed proposal—everything is managed on a single platform.
COSTOS
Multiple estimators can work on the same estimate in real time, fully collaborating on the project. Roles can be defined for different estimators, enabling or restricting them from performing specific tasks — for example, a junior estimator may not be allowed to price items exceeding 1 million dollars.
A flexible report builder allows users to create any type of analytical report required by their organization or management; the central database can be deployed on an SQL server.
Integrated processes can connect estimating with project control, accounting, procurement, and more through web service technologies. CostOS can be integrated with enterprise software such as SAP, Unifier, or Primavera P6 EPPM.
Using open IFC standards, BIM is fully embedded and synchronized with CostOS. Quantities can be easily extracted from 3D models—regardless of the system they were generated in—to produce a bill of quantities within minutes. Model objects can be linked to the resource database and labor hours to quickly generate a cost estimate.
